The DJ Rowell Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that is aimed and targeted towards youth evolution. It is both founded and hosted by DJ Rowell, a communications major and former NCAA scholarship athlete who wants to create a focus on polishing our youth, and helping them to shine in all aspects of life.
Our organization is fuelled by community leaders who all wish to utilize their influence for the youth through different outlets.
We incorporate fun, discipline, personality, exercise, and accountability to tailor the perfect training within our group. Creating an atmosphere that provokes them to be the best version of themselves!
Rock'em Experience Basketball Camp
Rockem Experience Basketball Camp helps develop life skills and life long skills through basketball. We teach our kids how to handle adversity, challenges, and enhance competitiveness. We expose our campers to pressures that they can overcome by utilizing each other as teammates, and pushing themselves individually to assure them that they are the best version of themselves. This is not only for the kids, but for the world they will eventually embark in and take by storm!
This program is typically a week-long camp, with additional camps and events throughout the summer!
Christmas Backpack Program
The DJ Rowell Foundation has always had a very strong connection to the children in our community. Thanks to COVID-19, we developed a new program in 2020 to target a new group of children that we wouldn't ordinarily reach. The Foundation has partnered with local hospitals to provide each long-term stay child a backpack full of toys, essentials and items of comfort to bring little bit of joy during the holidays!
This program runs around Christmas time to ensure that these children are able to feel special even though they couldn't be home for the holidays!
